Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026)

The promotional tour for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is ramping up, and the cast is finally starting to peel back the curtain on what fans can expect when the next MCU Spidey adventure swings into theaters next month. Tom Holland , Zendaya , Sadie Sink , and Jacob Batalon recently sat down with Fandango to talk about the highly anticipated sequel, and while Marvel Studios is still keeping many of the movie’s biggest secrets locked away, the interview offered a few fun teases that have fans speculating. One of the more unexpected talking points involved Hulk. During the conversation, the cast joked about the possibility of the gamma-powered giant appearing in a color other than his traditional green. Longtime Marvel fans may remember that in Avengers: Age of Ultron , Scarlet Witch’s manipulation of Hulk was originally meant to result in him turning grey rather than remaining green. That concept never made it to the screen, but it sounds like Marvel may finally be revisiting the idea in Spider-Man: Brand New Day . Another reveal touched on one of the movie’s most intriguing additions, Frank Castle. Since Jon Bernthal ’s Punisher is famous for dropping plenty of colorful language, fans have wondered how that would work in a PG-13 Spider-Man movie. Holland shared a pretty hilarious solution. According to the actor, every time Frank starts gearing up to unleash a string of profanity, Spider-Man simply shoots a web over his mouth. It sounds exactly like the kind of comic book-style annoyance that would create a fun dynamic between Peter Parker and Castle. The contrast between Spider-Man’s upbeat personality and The Punisher’s no-nonsense attitude has always been entertaining on the page, and it appears the movie is leaning into that relationship. As for Sink, Marvel still isn't letting her say much of anything about her role. The actress has become something of a professional secret-keeper while making the press rounds, but she did offer a brief tease:"It was so exciting. I grew up watching these movies. To join [the MCU] was very surreal. I really like the character [I’m playing] and that’s all I’ll say." That mystery continues to fuel speculation. Rumors linking Sink to Jean Grey have been circulating for months, but Marvel and Sony remain committed to not confirming that yet. Whether she actually is playing the iconic X-Men mutant or whether that rumor has been leading fans down the wrong path remains to be seen. The interview also touched on filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton and the creative energy he brought to the project, along with the movie’s use of slow-motion sequences. Holland also discussed having a unique opportunity to reflect on the five years between Spider-Man: No Way Home and Brand New Day , using that time to think about what audiences really want from Peter Parker’s next chapter.
