Legend of the White Dragon (2026)

Legend of the White Dragon lands on digital platforms now, with a physical release slated for October, and serves as the poignant swan song of Power Rangers legend Jason David Frank. Shot on and off across Texas and distributed by Houston‑based Well Go USA Entertainment, the film sees Frank step back into the spotlight one last time, delivering a performance in front of a live Texas audience that feels like a heartfelt homecoming. The story follows a masked hero who’s concealed his White Dragon identity for three years, only to confront the vengeful Dragon Prime and reclaim his stolen name. Its darker, more mature tone delves into the psychological weight of heroism, weaving mental‑health themes into the action‑fantasy fabric. Veteran Power Rangers alumni—Steve Cardenas, Johnny Yong Bosch, Austin St. John—and Hollywood names like Michael Madsen and David Ramsey round out the cast, while Frank’s daughter Jenna appears as his onscreen daughter. Jenna Frank, a Houston native, reflects on how the Texas landscape shaped both her and her father, emphasizing vulnerability and mental‑well‑being as core family values. Her comments underscore the film’s broader message: true heroism isn’t just about masks and battles, but about confronting inner struggles and staying grounded. Crowdfunded on Kickstarter and brought to life by director duo Sean and Aaron Schoenke, Legend of the White Dragon offers fans a rare chance to say goodbye to a beloved icon while spotlighting the enduring link between heroism, home, and mental health.
