Did You Know?
Delta Force meets campus chaos—does the sequel warn or just mock?
Kyle Rankin returns with “Run Hide Fight: Infidels,” a sequel to his 2020 school‑shooter thriller that pits former Delta Force captain Clay Saunders (Jonathan Majors) against a group of jihadists who hijack a fictional Laughton University. The film, now streaming on the conservative platform The Daily Wire, frames its action around Saunders’ book‑tour stop for his new manifesto, “America Unafraid,” which predicts an Islamic onslaught on the West.
Majors, who appears mainly at the film’s opening and climax, delivers a detached performance as the battle‑hardened veteran trying to stop the extremists from turning the student union into a makeshift caliphate. The plot intertwines the jihadists with stereotyped queer, anti‑Palestine protestors, creating a chaotic showdown that culminates in a rooftop throat‑slashing with an Arabic dagger.
Critics argue the movie’s tone veers wildly—mixing slap‑stick moments reminiscent of “Animal House” with the grim seriousness of a Delta Force‑versus‑terrorist shoot‑out. The script’s “toothless” humor and caricatured characters undercut its stated goal of sounding a wake‑up call, prompting the Muslim Public Affairs Council’s Hollywood bureau to label it “more ridiculous than offensive." Nevertheless, the film taps a lineage of military‑centric cinema, echoing the realism‑first approach of “Act of Valor,” which famously used active‑duty SEALs. For viewers who trust the perspective of real‑world spec‑ops veterans, “Run Hide Fight: Infidels” attempts to flag what its creators see as an “Islam problem” in America, even if its execution leaves the warning signal a bit garbled.
