The new trailer shows Statham’s beekeeping‑clad anti‑hero, Adam Clay, taking the fight to a whole new level. A flamethrower‑kill scene has him shoving a weapon into an attacker’s mouth and torching his head, then dead‑panning, “Next time, don’t be so hotheaded.” The same clip reveals his upgraded Dodge Super Bee, now packing a hidden minigun the CIA‑type antagonist Jeremy Irons dubs a “stinger.”
Director Timo Tjahjanto, fresh off the ultra‑violent The Night Comes for Us, replaces David Ayer and promises a bloodier, more relentless showdown. Known for choreographing brutal, extended fights, Tjahjanto’s touch should push Clay’s already lethal knife work into a full‑on artillery showdown, especially against the shadowy Beekeepers who trained him and now hunt him.
The Beekeeper 2 lands on January 15, 2027, positioning it as the first of a potentially triple‑Statham slate that year. Later in the summer, Statham will play a fictionalized version of himself in the action‑comedy Jason Statham Stole My Bike, and a Guy Ritchie‑directed Viva La Madness is also slated for 2027, meaning fans could see the star swing from gore‑filled revenge to self‑referential comedy all within months.
