The Snake Hashira finally gets his spotlight as Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle saga rolls forward

Ufotable’s blockbuster Infinity Castle trilogy is now in full swing, taking Tanjiro and the surviving Hashira straight into Muzan’s towering stronghold for the series’ climactic battles. After the first film’s worldwide debut, fans are buzzing for the next installment, where every Hashira will finally unleash their full power. To celebrate the occasion, Ufotable dropped a cute new poster for Obanai Iguro, the Snake Hashira, on his September 15th birthday. Iguro has been a relative mystery in the anime, only stepping into the spotlight during the Hashira Training Arc and even receiving brand‑new scenes not found in Gotouge’s manga. The upcoming film promises to pair him with the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, giving the elusive swordsman a much‑needed moment in the limelight. Infinity Castle II is already in the works, though a release window remains unannounced. The sequel will pick up right where the first film left off, so catching up on Infinity Castle I—now streaming on Crunchyroll and arriving on Netflix in the U.S. on September 28—is essential. Production is expected to resume after Ufotable’s current feature, Witch on the Holy Night, and the follow‑up is slated for a U.S. release next year via Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
