Its been a long while since I've enjoyed a sci action fiction film, as much as"Osiris". Obviously inspired by films like"Alien(s) and"Predator" (the originals not the horrible woke remixes), this film builds in extra elements, that are genuinely creative and add depth. For instance, having the aliens act a lot like human special forces, with gear that's familiar but adapted to reflect their status as an advanced, if brutal, race. The story is quite sophisticated too, for what is essentially a film driven by action. On the subject of which, the action is frenetic, convincing and well paced, throughout the length of the film. There really are, few dull moments. Whats also surprising, is the acting is more than competent from a cast I'm not that familiar with, well, aside from the iconic Linda Hamilton, of"Terminator" fame. In summary, for a film that's clearly not an A lister this sci fi gem puts a lot of films with much fatter budgets, to shame. If you liked"Alien(s)' and the original"Predator" films I know you are going to enjoy"Osiris".Its been a long while since I've enjoyed a sci action fiction film, as much as"Osiris". It was great to see Linda Hamilton in a movie again! I'm a sci-fi fantasy guy so this had everything I love in a movie, aliens, action and a plot twist. Was okay, but just felt like an"Alien" movie franchise clone and the misdirection was cool not many of those these days. Just seemed to fail to deliver, but a good effort. It was great to see Linda Hamilton in a movie again!
